On this episode, Bluefield, WV is discussing some possible changes to make as part of their "Safe Streets for Everyone" project. Then, a new WV law mandating more Teacher's aides in elementary schools is inadvertently impacting the state's pool of child care workers. Finally, I got to chat with Jamie Null (Executive Director-Mercer Co. Convention & Visitors Bureau AKA Visit Mercer Co.) about the overwhelming response they've been fielding after the #1 movie on Netflix (starring Ethan Hawke & Julia Roberts!!!) featured a map with a hidden QR code that directed people to the Visit Mercer County webpage for Lake Shawnee. On top of that, why it's there and how it connects to the film is still a total mystery, but its a lot of fun to talk about.
